Carol Connors Debuts “Angels in the Sky” Theme Song at Mitchell Flint’s 100th Birthday Celebration

At a special event in Israel celebrating the 100th birthday of Mitchell Flint—American WWII hero and founding member of Israel’s first Air Force—his son Michael Flint introduces a once-in-a-lifetime performance by legendary songwriter Carol Connors.

Dressed in a boxing robe and gloves, Connors makes a show-stopping entrance to the iconic Rocky theme, which she co-wrote with Bill Conti. She shares the incredible behind-the-scenes story of how she penned the unforgettable lyrics, “Gonna Fly Now.”

But the highlight of the night comes when Connors introduces and performs her original song written for the upcoming Angels in the Sky feature film—a movie yet to be made but passionately supported by many who believe its time has come.

With multiple Oscar, Golden Globe, and Emmy nominations, Carol Connors brings heartfelt energy to this powerful tribute, inspired by the true story of international volunteer airmen who risked everything to defend Israel in 1948.

We hope this performance inspires renewed interest and momentum to finally bring Angels in the Sky to the big screen.
